Kristin Jenkins, Vice President of Communications at the Ontario Power Authority

Kristin--Jenkins2_circleKristin Jenkins is the Vice President of Communications at the Ontario Power Authority (OPA). Her responsibilities include communications, corporate marketing, and community and stakeholder relations.

Ms. Jenkins joined the OPA in 2009 with over 18 years of experience in senior communications and public affairs positions in a number of public sector agencies.

Prior to joining the OPA, she was the Vice President of Public Affairs at Toronto Community Housing Corporation, where she oversaw the restructuring of the organization’s corporate communications and media relations functions.

Ms. Jenkins also served as the Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Waterfront Toronto. She established the organization’s communications department and led the development of Waterfront Toronto’s award-winning approach to community and stakeholder consultation.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Jenkins spent nine years working in healthcare communications, including positions at Cancer Care Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Health. She has an MA in Political Science from Carleton University and an MHSc in Health Administration from the University of Toronto.
